Vanilla-flavoured crescent cookie liqueur

This liqueur is perfect for a quick and easy last-minute present! It tastes yummy and is perfect for vanilla lovers. 😊

The receipt is for approx. 500ml liqueur


What you need:

- 100 g almonds without shell, ground

- 35 g ground hazelnuts

- 15 g ground walnuts (alternatively increase the quantity for almonds or hazelnuts).

- 120 g brown sugar

- 2 vanilla beans

- 400 g cream

- 200 ml vodka


Approach:

First sterilise the bottle(s): Either boil the bottle incl. lid briefly or heat it up in the oven at 150 degrees for approx. 10 minutes.

Then weigh the ground almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts and lightly toast them in a coated pan at medium heat. If you do not get ground walnuts, you can use more almonds or hazelnuts instead.

Tip: If you have a good mixer, you can also use whole nuts and grind them finely after roasting.

Cut open the vanilla pods and scrape out the vanilla pulp with a blunt knife. Place the vanilla pulp and the remaining pods with, sugar, cream, and the ground and roasted nuts in a pot, bring to the boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Now switch off the cooker.

Add the vodka and mix for one minute with a whisk. Remove the vanilla beans and pour the liqueur into the sterilised bottles. Keep in the fridge.
