This star can be used as decoration for windows, front doors or even in flower arrangements. In my opinion, it is easy to make but it is very impressive and seems more complicated than it really is.

What you need:

- six square paper (I used 14cm x 14cm)

- scissors

- stapler gun and a hot glue gun (I used only sticky tape, but I guess it is easier if you have stapler and hot glue)

Step 1

Fold the lower right corner to the upper left corner to form a triangle

Step 2

Now fold the lower left side to the upper right side to form a smaller triangle

Step 3

Now, you need to make some cuts in the paper.

Attention: the cuts must be made on the closed side, parallel to the long-left side. The distance between the cuts should be well distributed over the surface and please be careful not to cut all the way to the top. Leave about 0.5 - 1cm space up to the top edge. You can choose if you want to make three or four cuts (I decided to make three)

The whole thing will look like this when opened:

Step 4

The square is turned upside down and the two smallest tips are tacked (or glued) together, creating a kind of tunnel.

Now do the same thing with the second tips – glue or tack them on the other side:

And finally, for the last tips:

Step 5

These steps are now repeated with all other squares.

If you like you can play with the effects, you can start with the white side at three papers and at the other three you start with patterned side:

Step 6

Finally, you can glue them together. I fixed it with sticky tape, but I think it is easier with hot glue 😉.
